About Us

Aloshikha Social Development Organization (ASDO) is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of marginalized and hard-to-reach communities in Bangladesh. Guided by a vision of a world where every individual, particularly the unaddressed and underprivileged, has equal opportunities to live with dignity and hope, Aloshikha strives to combat the pressing challenges of our time, including exclusion from essential services, environmental crises, extreme poverty, inequality, and injustice. Founded in 2010, Aloshikha began its journey by providing healthcare services to the most deprived communities living in remote areas. Over time, it became evident that addressing healthcare alone was not enough to create lasting change. Due to geographical isolation and the effects of climate change, many people in northern riverine char areas and southern coastal regions lack access to basic services such as healthcare, education, and public resources, perpetuating cycles of extreme poverty. In response, Aloshikha has adopted a holistic approach, focusing on these remote rural regions to develop scalable solutions. By empowering people and strengthening communities, we aim to transform lives and help individuals reach their full potential, contributing to a more equitable and sustainable future.

Our Vision

Aloshikha envisions a world where every individual, especially the hard-to-reach and unaddressed, enjoys equal opportunities to live with dignity and hope. In response to growing global challenges such as exclusion from essential services, environmental crises, extreme poverty, inequality, and injustice, our vision remains focused on creating a more just and inclusive world.

Our Mission

From Bangladesh, a nation grappling with some of humanity’s most urgent challenges, Aloshikha develops scalable solutions aimed at empowering marginalized communities and enabling individuals to transform their lives and realize their full potential. Beginning in 2010 with healthcare services for the most deprived communities in remote areas, Aloshikha quickly recognized that a lasting impact requires addressing a broader range of issues. The people in northern riverine char areas and southern coastal belts, affected by climate change and environmental volatility, have limited access to healthcare, education, and public services, trapping them in extreme poverty. Aloshikha focuses its operations in these remote rural regions and adopts a holistic approach to improve their quality of life and opportunities for development.
