Empowering women is not just a moral obligation β it is a powerful strategy for social transformation. At Aloshikha, we believe that when women are educated, economically active, and confident in their voice, entire communities prosper. Yet in many regions of Bangladesh, women continue to face barriers including poverty, gender-based violence, limited mobility, and lack of access to education or property rights.
Our Women Empowerment Program aims to break these barriers by enabling women to become agents of change in their own lives and in society. We provide them with tools, resources, and support systems that foster independence, leadership, and equality.
We offer women vocational training in tailoring, handicrafts, homestead gardening, poultry rearing, food processing, and more. These skills not only generate income but also increase their self-worth and status within the household and community.
Through adult literacy programs and life skills workshops, women gain knowledge in health, legal rights, financial management, and family decision-making. We create safe learning spaces for women of all ages β many of whom never had the chance to attend school.
We conduct workshops on gender equality, child marriage prevention, domestic violence laws, and reproductive rights. Women are trained to recognize abuse and seek help when needed, using community legal aid services where necessary.
We form womenβs groups that function as peer support networks. These groups build collective confidence and provide platforms for women to speak out, lead community initiatives, and influence local decision-making.
Women with entrepreneurial aspirations receive business development training, micro-grants, and assistance in market linkages. Many of our beneficiaries have launched successful home-based or small enterprises, becoming role models in their villages.

We work closely with men, local leaders, and families to change mindsets and promote gender-inclusive development. Empowerment is not about working for women β it is about working with women and ensuring they are at the center of all progress.
Aloshikha is committed to scaling women-led cooperatives, integrating digital literacy for women, and promoting female leadership in local governance and climate action. We envision a future where every girl grows up believing that her voice matters and her dreams are valid.
We don’t just empower women β we partner with them to rebuild stronger, fairer communities.
